Somerdata provides Cybersecurity, Communications and Digital Radio (DAB/DAB+) products using their specialist software and hardware development skills, coupled with support and training.

The Company was founded in 1997 by Simon Banks, Edwin Kayes and Dave Lambert, who brought a combined experience of 50 man-years in analogue and digital data recording for aerospace, defence and communications applications world-wide.

Somerdata initially focussed on niche products for communications monitoring and expanded into public security surveillance recording, digital audio broadcasting (DAB) and cybersecurity.

Based in Wells, Somerset, UK where its products are developed and manufactured for UK and overseas customers, Somerdata’s business has developed through a combination of internal evolution and international market requirements.  The Company’s experience and expertise enable it to meet individual customer requirements, provide prompt & friendly support, as a well as bringing together a unique range of specialist skills and experience that contribute to the three main business activities.
